La Wis Wis Campground offers a tranquil forest retreat at the confluence of the Ohanapecosh River and the Clear Fork of the Cowlitz River. This well-developed campground features shaded campsites, day-use areas, and short nature walks, making it a favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Towering old-growth trees create a peaceful setting where visitors can fish, relax beside flowing water, or enjoy the quiet forest atmosphere.
The campground is conveniently located near Packwood and the White Pass Recreation Area, just outside the Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Seasonal access makes La Wis Wis a popular destination from late spring through fall. A newly renovated Civilian Conservation Corps cabin will soon be available for rental, offering a unique lodging option.
