Funding

Beginning in 2003, the White Pass Scenic Byway has been funded through grants made available from the Federal Highways administration. Byway projects specific to signage, planning and marketing were funded in 2005-2009. Since the byway is primarily a tourism organization lodging tax funding from Lewis County has been a continual source of revenue for Byway marketing activities. In addition, grants from the Lewis County .09 fund, US Forest Service, the Port of Seattle, private businesses, and partner non-profits have helped supplement the program funding.
