Sitting at the southwest entrance and surrounded by dense forest and river valleys. It’s home to the park’s original headquarters, the Longmire Museum, and trailheads that give you a close-up feel of Rainier’s lower slopes without the alpine exposure.

Known for historic buildings, riverside trails, and year-round access that makes it a great first stop.
